Super special embroidered Pumpkin Bookband

Every now and again, a design feels lovely enough to make a little more special - I occasionally make little piles of Mussell Shells in this style too -  these pumpkins are one of those super special pieces. They are first sketched out and watercolour painted onto beautiful natural linen, and then I freemotion embroider over the design in lots of beautiful coordinating silk threads to give it so much depth it almost looks 3D. They're naturally a lot more work than my simpler applique pumpkins, and each one will be a little different.  For this piece, I've added a Pumpkin to one of my Best-selling bookbands!
