Make your own Sugarplum Fairy hand sewing kit

A perfect little activity to do in the run up to Christmas, this gorgeous kit is a fun project for all abilities. Full written instructions are provided, along with all the components you'll need to make your very own Fairy decoration. Learn some useful applique skills and try your hand at making one of my best selling products, this will give you some insight into how I work in the studio. 

The kits I currently have available are end of line products that I used to sell. Once these are gone, there will be no more made for sale, so these really are a very last chance situation! Please do read what's included so you know exactly what you're getting, and what you'll need to have at home.  There is no *exact* finished sample for this kit, but I've added a photo of a very similar design - if you are familiar with my fairies you'll know how she'll look! 

Included in the kit will be: 

• A full instruction booklet giving you step by step details of how to make your fairy

• Two pieces of good quality wool felt to construct the decoration on, one interfaced to stiffen your finished decoration.

• Your fairy components, pre-cut from good quality fabrics including a faulous spotty pink tee, backed with a heat fix material so you can iron them carefully in position before you stitch. 

• A star for her wand, and some pink sparkly hearts to decorate her top, hair or both

• A length of waxed cord to hang your decoration

You will need a few simple things: 

• A fine needle, ideally a size 11 sharps (please ask if you don't have one, I'm happy to include one for you!)
  
  
• Some thread, in a few different colours - these kits are end of line items, made from spare components from numerous kits I used to make and sell. The instruction booklets will refer to thread being provided, but I don't have any of the thread spools left, so all Fairy Making Kits will be sent minus the thread - most people have a few shades in their kit at home anyway, but please be aware of this before you order. 
  

• Pins or binding clips

• An iron (with the steam off)

• Tweezers can be handy, but are by no means essential

• Scissors to cut around your finished fairy
  
  
• A dab of fabric glue or PVA is helpful, if you have it
  
  
  This kit is pre-made with components in a fair skintone, so you can add blush or bronzer to suit.  If you need olive, light brown or dark brown skin tone please do let me know and I will be more than happy to swap these out for you. 
  
  
  Please note, the star for the wand is a little metal bead (actually much nicer than in my example!)
