Aubrey - Make your own Fairy (coming 01/08)
I've been making my flagship product - the Fernery Fairies - since 2017, and after countless requests, I've finally put together a comprehensive guide so that you can make your own version at home!
This tutorial is suitable for hand or machine sewing.
You can purchase a number of different ways, please be sure you select the right product, as digital downloads are non refundable.
Tutorial - The full tutorial, with written and full colour photo step by step instructions. Includes printable templates.
Tutorial & SVG Files - As above, but with cutting files included for use with Cricut or Scan & Cut machines.
Pattern Only - If you've completed my tutorials before, you might feel confident making without the tutorial. Please be aware that steps may vary, depending on the designs you've purchased. You will not receive any instructions with this purchase.
SVG Files Only - Cutting files, with no tutorial included. You will not receive any instructions with this purchase.
The Tutorial consists of clear and easy to follow, ten page step by step instructions, including colour photos of every step, so you can enjoy some quality craft time creating endless beautiful heirloom decorations for yourself and friends. This project is suitable for everyone, from beginners right up to experienced sewists. You only need to be able to execute a basic backstitch if you're sewing by hand. You'll need a basic sewing kit including some fabric scraps and felt, a needle and thread, and a small piece of bondaweb to complete this make.
This tutorial will teach you some wonderful applique skills, including how to trace and transfer your design onto fabric, how to get a lovely neat finish on raw edged fabric, and how to construct your finished product so that it's a lovely quality item and not a floppy mess! It will not teach you to do freemotion applique like you may have seen me do, but if you can already use a sewing machine you can absolutely use this tutorial to make your decorations.
Once you purchase, you will be emailed a link so that you can download the product you've purchased. The PDF will open in your web browser, and you'll need to save it to your device. You will need to either be able to print the template page, or trace the pieces on an iPad screen if you prefer - there will be no hard copy of the pattern sent to you, and this is not a kit so you will not receive materials in the post. You will be able to use your own beautiful fabrics to make the fairies your own!
Please note that all digital products are non-refundable.
There will be future additional Fairy designs released, featuring different hair styles and outfits. These will be available in a pattern only format, as well as a full tutorial, so that you can add to your Fairy collection as time goes on.
* The Tutorial includes a discount code for use with your first purchase of Fairy Making supplies available on my website (Glitter Fabric and Bookband Elastic included). Please note this is not included with the pattern or SVG Files, and not available on other supplies.
This tutorial allows you to download the guide twice. This is done so that you can put it on two separate devices if needed. Please be sure to save your download somewhere you will be able to locate it again later, as I will not be able to forward it to you again due to each download link being personalised to the email address it was originally sent to.
